An artist and teacher (but Spanish, actually) from Maine, USA. Slowly my two loves, apart from my family and friends and students, are coming together: art and traveling. I've said for years that my "dream job" would be painting from country to country. Well, a "job" would probably have to include me taking OTHERS from country to country, being a tour guide by morning and a painting instructor in the afternoon, then a fun guide at night! Sound sweet, doesn't it? It DOES TO ME! Actually that would include my 3 favorites: art, travel, people. Niiiice.
Anyway, my upcoming trip is to Peru with a medical missions for 2 weeks. Not much time for creating art, but my handy digital camera always by my side, or attached to my hand, will capture images for me to work with later. Chulucanas, Peru, is a town in the north of Peru, very close to the Ecuadorian border, near the "down" point of Ecuador. I''m excited! Now I MUST get packing. A small touch of disappointment to be so close to Guayaquil and not get to see my "family" there, the Palmas, with whom I lived twice, years ago. Ah, but do I have some plans for NEXT summer!

Here is a group photo of myself, Sister Pat, and a wonderful couple from Peru who now live her ein Maine - just after the mass blessing the whole group (not here) from Maine who are going to Chulucanas on Saturday! God's abilities of course not limited to attendance... everyone was blessed.
